Meet Halfway is a digital campaign that encourages friends & family who are apart from each other to find an Airbnb and meet in the middle. The campaign was a success, racking up over 15k confirmed bookings. A total of 64K+ nights booked at a rate of 338 per day. This also translated to over 18k personal account signups for PayPal.

How Can Anyone Meet Up From Anywhere!

The Meet Halfway site detects the user's location, and after entering in their friend's name and city, the algorithm reveals their halfway point. From there, you can add up to two more friends and watch the halfway point automatically recalculate.

As the Jr. Art Director on the new Digital team at Crispin Porter, I was tasked with creating the mobile variant behind the Meethalfway Campaign Design.

Solution: Increased Bookings Across The World

By the end of the promotion, 35,825 halfway points were found. Those adventurous destinations led to 64,239 nights booked on Airbnb and 18,539 new PayPal user sign-ups. The site was shared to Facebook over 2,000 times. In total, the campaign received over 232 million impressions from a vast media buy that included video pre-roll, web banners as well as influencers who traveled to their halfway destinations and wrote content about their experiences.
