AfroTech is a conference geared towards creatives of color within the tech industry where attendees can learn new skillset, identify emerging trends in technology, and expand their network opportunities for gainful employment.

After two incredibly successful years of programming, Blavity Inc., the parent company of AfroTech, made a significant decision to create an identity system that would catapult the brand into an icon-level staple among its audience.

A Fresh Take on Tech

The identity system for AfroTech is inspired by "coded language & dialogue" used within communities of colors. The approach pulls symbols from programming language to create textures, patterns, and typography that feels legible, playful, strong and vibrant.

Lastly, the color palette leans on a blue & green tone as base colors to help transform what is typically known as a dark world of development into an inclusive world that feels fresh and energetic.
